this is a sketch for my piece on the dangers of food irradiation... the painting is actually finished, just not photographed yet...

Here is a long overdue update. Though this isn't actually new work... I'm in the process of finishing my second thesis at the moment. The topic is conspiracy theories, expect to see pieces on: the dangers of food irradiation, water fluoridation, chem trails, the faked moon landing, our shape shifting alien world leaders, and much more. As for these pieces the first is an oil painting about body dysmorphia, from my first thesis on abnormal psychology. The second piece is actually my first digital piece, a project from Robert Hunt's class where we could choose a cocktail to create an illustration about, I chose a zombie.

Thesis Pieces

thesis update: just finished last piece! yes!! I will probably still do touch ups, but at least for the moment I feel like I'm finished.  I guess I should be burnt out, but all I want to do is paint more. Keep the momentum. I think I'm going to steal Robert Hunt's picture a day idea, once all this end-of-semester madness is over, I guess. I just want to blow off my final project for my music class and paint instead. I forget that there is still so much to be done. Postcards, business cards, portfolio assembly, photographing work, and thats just for thesis! My website is pretty much finished though, which is a relief. Here's yet another one of my thesis pieces, about anorexia. Special thanks to Keri, the skinniest person I know, for posing.

Old & Unfinished

A really old painting of my room mate in a wig. I think this is my second ever oil painting (if we aren't counting the few pitiful attempts in high school). I wish I could just spend all of my time painting straight up portraits sometimes.

I'm going to try to put most if not all of my thesis up here, but a lot of it will be going on my website... which should be up in about a week. For those of you who don't know, my thesis is on psychological disorders. This piece being p.t.s.d. 

I really want to finish two paintings this weekend.... I think it can be done.

On another note, I'm ending my fast tonight, yay! I miss food so much. 8 days with nothing but lemonade... rough.

Heres a sketch and a finish.  Its the better half of two self portraits done in Shawn Barber's class. Back when I actually used acrylic!
